BLOC are looking for a Group Management Accountant to join our team. As Group Management Accountant you will support the Group Financial Controller in providing clear effective weekly and monthly reporting. You will be responsible for developing the finance function brand across the organisation, as an efficient and professional team that enables commercial growth. The Group Management Accountant role supports the preparation of monthly accounts, including cost management & profitability analysis.

What we will ask of you:

  • Responsible for financial reporting, provide quality financial analysis, insightful commentaries to the Group Financial Controller.
  • Specific responsibility for production of monthly management accounts and support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Lead contact and support for statutory audits
  • Support leadership team with daily operational queries.
  • Ad hoc analysis and provision of financial info as required to support Group Financial Controller.
  • Completion of Government Forms and surveys when necessary
  • Cash management and planning, including weekly cashflow analysis.
  • Management of financial regulatory reporting.
  • This role would suit a newly qualified accountant/part qualified accountant looking for their first move into industry.

Essential Criteria

Part qualified/newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar by experience.
Ability to manage high volume of work in a Bloc-paced environment.
Strong effective and communication skills both written and verbal.
Good organisational, planning and time management skills.
Candidates must have a minimum of three years working in a finance environment.

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience of using Sage 200
Experience of working in a finance function in industry in a manufacturing environment or similar
